Sports and activities

Adventure Park Zeměráj - approx 12 km

A nature park full of experiences and knowledge for children and adults, fun for the whole day. In the picturesque countryside near Milevsko, on an area of 9 hectares, there is an archaeoskansen of the early Middle Ages, a barefoot trail more than a kilometer long, a wooden maze, a children's village, an interactive playroom, a number of natural playgrounds, games and fun and educational elements, adventure tasks and puzzles. There is also a stylish pub in a homestead with a half-timbered house from 1640. Zeměráj is a member of the international association of outdoor archaeological museums EXARC and became the winner of the CzechTourism DestinaCZe competition in the "1000% experience for the whole family" category.

Outdoor swimming pool - approx 1.5 km

The summer stadium consists of a 66 x 100 m grass football field with a 400 m long athletic clay oval with four lanes, for the 100 m run there is lane six. The grass of the football field was completely reconstructed in 2014, including the drainage system and irrigation. In the area behind the soccer nets, there is also a sector for the top of the balls, for the long jump and the high jump. There is a grandstand for 1,500 spectators on the west side of the stadium. All facilities for athletes are located under the grandstand. There is also a buffet with refreshments or a sauna with a cooling pool in the grandstand.

Outdoor swimming pool - approx 1.5 km

In the summer months, the swimming pool area offers the possibility of relaxing by the water in a quiet corner of the city. If you choose active rest, you can play beach volleyball in the sand or tennis, badminton or netball on a reinforced screen surface. There are also play elements for children, such as a castle, trampoline, sandpit or feather swings.

Tennis courts - approx 1.5 km

The tennis courts in the city park Bazantnice was founded in 1927. The current capacity is eight courts.





Golf course “Certovo bremeno” - 24 km (about 25 minutes by car)

Certovo bremeno means The Devil’s burden. It is the name of a nearby rock formation. Scattered remnants of the stone burden gives a characteristic appearance to the course. The first 9 holes were put into operation in June 2002, including a reception, training fields, putting and chipping green. Since the 2009 season, there are 18 holes, crossed by two streams and with several lakes and many pools included. The course can be played without handicap. However, it requires knowledge of the game rules and etiquette.

Moninec Ski Resort - 25km (about 25 minutes by car)

Moninec Ski ResortIn the middle of Bohemia there is an area called Czech Siberia, where the project was created for various sports and leisure time activities for a year-round use. The longest slope is 1200 m long with 212 m elevation. Of course, ski lift is included. You can enjoy the sports activities like tubing, rope park, trampoline, ski lift sightseeing, mountain scooters, grass skiing, mountain-boarding, archery and mountain biking.

Climbing area Jickovice - 10 km (about 15 minutes by car)

Climbing area Jickovice The rocks are located in a quiet area on the banks of the Vltava River near the village Jickovice. They take form of intermittent peripheral belt of granite rocks. You will find a nice climbing with all different angles and rock formations in here, but own tools are necessary.

Fishing - for example Vasuv mill – approx 3 km

The pond is full of fish (carp, pike, perch, bass and many others). It is possible to go fishing daily from mid-April to late October. Parking is free at marked area 50 m from the dam.




Milevsko

The town lies on the border of Tabor and Voticka highlands in central surroundings of Vltava River in Pisek district at an altitude of 465 m. It is located about 12 kilometres from The Orlicka Dam and 20 kilometres northwest of the city of Tabor.
